Within the framework of the exhibition “Paolo Monti 37788. Money in Space,” the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome hosts the conference “Arte nello Spazio. Teleconnessioni di Pace dal primo Museo dello Spazio di Paolo Monti 37788” (Art in Space. Peace Teleconnections from the First Space Museum by Paolo Monti 37788), an interdisciplinary meeting dedicated to the relationship between artistic research, scientific innovation, and aerospace culture. The initiative is part of the in-depth journey promoted by the exhibition, which retraces over forty years of activity by the Roman artist Paolo Monti, a central figure in the dialogue between art and science and author of the project “TazebAu s’pace,” culminating in the creation of the first orbiting museum in space aboard the EduSAT 37788 satellite.
Through the contributions of institutional representatives, scholars, scientists, space sector experts, and historians of art and science, the conference addresses the themes of space exploration as a new cultural and symbolic horizon, highlighting the contribution that artistic practices can offer to the construction of a shared vision of the future.
