TELECONNECTIONS OF PEACE FROM THE FIRST MUSEUM IN OUTERSPACE

The Mayor of Velletri, Orlando Pocci, joining the celebrations for Colleferro’s well-deserved recognition as European Space Capital 2022, the first of its kind for an Italian city that serves as a cultural bridge between all the European Aryan Cities (AACs), will host an in-depth meeting on the project conceived for the occasion by fellow citizen Paolo Monti, who in 2011 sent the work Shroud 21′ 37″ into orbit inside the Italian Space Agency’s EduSAT ID: 37788 satellite, elected as its orbiting gallery and the world’s first space museum.
The work consists of a one-dollar bill stripped of its symbols and bearing the signatures of those encountered along the way, a metaphorical overcoming of all boundaries in a reconversion of nominal value into relational value. The project began in 2005 aboard the Marco Polo Motoraid, retracing the Silk Road from Venice to Beijing, and then extend into space in 2006 with the “signature” of astronaut Paolo Nespoli, becoming Infra-TazebAu s’pace. On August 17, 2011, the work was finally successfully launched into orbit from the Yasny Space Center (Russia) aboard the microsatellite EduSAT ID: 37788, an ASI program coordinated by Gauss (Astrodynamics Group, Sapienza University).
In its wandering around the Earth, EduSAT 37788, now an orbiting gallery/museum of the Shroud of Turin… and not only that, it can no longer be visited directly but still communicates its position and that of the George Washington present within it, through the radio signal emitted by the satellite: a contact, also invisible, at the basis of Paolo Monti’s innovative artistic-scientific project which, on the occasion of the celebrations, sees the Orbiting Museum 37788 twinning with the The recently opened Spazio Colleferro Museum.
The event, hosted by Marco Regi for VA Culture – Villa Abbamer, will feature numerous guests and associations, including Orlando Pocci, Mayor of Velletri; Pierluigi Sanna, Mayor of Colleferro, and Deputy Metropolitan Mayor; Denis Fadda, Professor, International President of the French Renaissance, and Former President of the Academy of Sciences of the Overseas; José Juan Skof, President of the A.A.A.
